Grindhouse Cinema is a brand new Vancouver movie page and home of The Grindhouse, a film series every month at The Media Club. Our aim is to bring back the spirit of Grindhouse theatres, the grungy seedy cult movie houses of the 1970s and 80s. We’ll be showing a double feature of the best and most obscure cinema favourites every first Monday of the month starting at 8pm. Join us to celebrate the kind of films that will never be made again, from horror, exploitation, art-house, foreign, erotica, cheese, nunsploitation, slasher, action, women in prison, giallo, eurotrash, mondo, gore, surrealism, Westerns and everything in between! Drink with your friends and see why these movies dominated the drive-in circuit. Also, look out for The Grindhouse Reader, Vancouver’s own quarterly cult film magazine.
